Look, y’all already know our story! We love each other and want to celebrate our marriage with YOU and some tasty food + drankz!
So let’s get down to business: RSVP and let us know if you can make it AND if you can’t make it let us know of a time when we can meet up with you to celebrate one on one!
Arrival
Thursday, April 4 (Recommended)
We recommend flying in to Mexico City on Thursday if you can. The timing of flights into the city have been skewing towards early departures from your home locations with mid to late afternoon arrivals in Mexico City. A Thursday evening arrival will allow you to have a day of exploring on Friday before meeting up Friday night! If you need to arrive on Friday that is fine too! Just be aware that you may end up feeling a little rushed with travel, arrival, check-in, and timing!
Today Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will be on your own. Check out our “recommendations” page for some amazing places to grab some food! We’ve been to town several times over the last year and already have some favorite places that we know you’ll love too! We’ve also listed some of our favorite shopping places, historical sites, and places with gorgeous views on the recommendations page. All of these will be within driving, biking, and walking distance from your hotel/Air B&B!
It’s VERY easy to get around Mexico city. Make sure you have Uber downloaded on your phone (NOT LYFT) so you can easily call a car! Neighborhoods like Roma Norte and La Condesa, and Downtown CDMX are all beautiful to walk around, and if you want to rent a bike and see more of the city, there are bike stations all over the city with safe and easy to use bike lanes!
We (Joey and Michael) are spending Friday getting ready for Saturday’s shenanigans and have been gifted a private dinner. However we will be ready to party and drank with you around 10:00pm at our Air B&B (check back soon for address).
Wedding Day

Arrive: Plan to arrive at Sobremesa between 1:00 and 1:30. There will be drinks, lounging, catching up, gorgeous photo ops for your social media etc etc. There is no particular rush here and once everyone has arrived (and we have all had a proper drink or two) a sit down dinner will be served. (check back soon for details and menu options - there will be vegetarian options available)
Wear:
This is NOT a black tie event! Look cute. Look fancy. Look sexy. We want you to serve us some looks that show off your sense of style. So get creative and live your runway fantasy. #BringItToTheRunway
Ceremony:
You’ve probably heard us say this but we don’t want a traditional ceremony. So we aren’t gonna have one! We want to celebrate our marriage by spending time and celebrating with our closest friends and family. Over dinner we will exchange vows, say nice things to each other, and have a short speech from a friend or two. We plan to be at Sobremesa until 6pm - 7pm depending on how long food, drinks, picture taking, speech making, and general gossiping take to wrap up. We do have after dinner plans too -

Wedding Night

Arrive: Plan to arrive at anytime after 9pm. If you need to head back to your AirB&B after lunch for a nap, water, tissue to blot your tears after crying at all of the beautiful things that will be said, or ibuprofen; you will definitely have time for all of that
Wear:
Something comfortable and fashionable. Be ready to dance. Be ready for idk maybe a DJ. Maybe a Drag Queen. MAYBE A DJ WHO IS A DRAG QUEEN! #BringItToTheRunway
Duration:
We plan to hang here until it is time for bed!
April 7th
IMPORTANT TO NOTE:
Sunday, April 7th is Daylight Savings!
This means that at 2:00AM Sunday morning you’ll need to turn your clocks forward to 3:00AM. Especially important to note if y0u are flying out on Sunday!
Most people are heading home today BUT WE ARE NOT THE BOSS OF YOU! We will be staying in town an extra day or two and will likely be headed to some place for brunch late Sunday morning! If you are in town still and don’t have to be at the airport, join us! We will probably make our reservation a little closer to April and will update you here so you can make a reservation too if you’d like!
